Nepali government has decided to lunch Nepal Army helicopters to launch emergency rescue and relief operations in the earthquake-hit areas, government officials said on Sunday. An emergency meeting called by Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli made a decision to dispatch warm clothes and food items in the mountainous areas of Gorkha District including Barpak, the epicenter of the April 25 earthquake last year, where the earthquake victims are in difficulties due to heavy snowfalls in recent days amid harsh winter. "The army personnel will distribute warm clothes and food items to the earthquake victims and rescue them toward safe places," Nepal's Defense Minister Bhim Rawal, who also participated in the meeting, told reporters. Chiefs of security forces, senior ministers and secretaries attended the meeting discussing about providing relief supports to the earthquake victims.</div>

Cape Town (South Africa): South Africa showed some fight in the second test on Monday with Hashim Amla’s 157 not out helping cut England’s lead to 276 as the home team reached 353-3 at stumps on the third day.</div>

Cape Town (South Africa): Ben Stokes has an endearingly simple approach to batting. It can bring brutal results.<br /><br />Explaining the tactics behind his 258 off 198 balls for the fastest double century by an England batsman in Tests on Sunday, and the second-fastest of all time, Stokes said: “See ball, hit ball, I guess. I just tried to hit as many boundaries as I could because it was too hot to run.”<br /><br />That simple.<br /><br />Late in Stokes’ ferocious innings, which dramatically changed the course of the second test against South Africa, captain Alastair Cook sent a message out to the middle to warn Stokes that he would declare when England got to 630, so the batsman should try and get to 300 if he could.<br /><br />The message Stokes sent back?<br /><br />“I said it doesn’t really matter because I’m trying to hit every ball for six from now on,” Stokes said. “I just tried to keep on going. I wasn’t really thinking of any landmarks or anything.”<br /><br />The uncomplicated approach allowed Stokes to dominate top-ranked South Africa at home in a way few players have done over the last couple of years.<br /><br />With the innings, Stokes clearly realized the potential that has been recognized in him and drawn comparisons to former England allrounder Andrew Flintoff and even the great Ian Botham. The 24-year-old Stokes has heard those comparisons being made, he said. He doesn’t think about it too much.<br /><br />“I’m not trying to emulate that or fill their boots and what they’ve achieved,” he said. “I’m just trying to do my own thing and will always concentrate on doing that.”<br /><br />Stokes’ thing appears to be trying to make as many runs as he can as quickly as possible, a luxury he said he has because of England’s deep batting lineup and the ability of the players around him to step up if he fails.<br /><br />Often, Stokes said, it doesn’t come off and he’s OK with that. He won’t always make double hundreds.<br /><br />“I normally say ‘crikey’ when I get to 30, to be honest,” he said.<br /><br />Amid all the records he set on the second day in Cape Town — the fastest test 250 among them — Stokes took far more delight in the simpler things. The best moment for him appeared to be the six — one of 11 he hit — that went over one of the stands and into the yard of the brewery next to Newlands stadium.<br /><br />“I think I tried that 10 or 12 times before I managed to do it,” he said.</div>

<br /><br />A 15-year-old batsman from Mumbai has broken 116-year-old record by scoring an unbelievable number of runs in an Under-16 inter-school cricket tournament organised by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA).<br /><br />Pranav Dhanawade, playing for Smt. K C Gandhi School, Kalyan, scored an unbeaten 652 runs from just 199 balls, with the help of 78 fours and 30 sixes, as he registered his name in the record books.<br /><br />Dhanawade made the staggering record against Kalyan’s Arya Gurukul School in the H T Bhandari Cup, one of the several inter-school tournaments organised  by the MCA.<br /><br />The prodigal talent helped his team reach 956 runs for the loss of just one wicket at the end of the first day. While Dhanawade was not out on 652, number three batsman Siddhesh Patil was unbeaten on 100. Aakash Singh, the only batsman to have been dismissed, had scored 173 runs.<br /><br />Dhanawade’s epic knock, which included 72 fours and 28 sixes, helped him take over the mantle of ‘highest individual score’ (including minor cricket) from AEJ Collins, who had held the record since 1899 when he struck an unbeaten 628 for Clark House against North Town House in UK.<br /><br />In the course of his multiple record-breaking feat, Pranav also surpassed Prithvi Shaw’s marathon 546 scored in 2014 in a Harris Shield match, an innings that had previously been the highest individual score in any form of cricket in India.<br /><br />The current bunch of young talent from Mumbai also includes the likes of Arman Jaffer and Sarfaraz Khan. While Sarfaraz had scored 439 in 2009, Jaffer posted 498 in 2010 to break the record, only to be surpassed by Shaw, who, in turn, has now been overtaken by Dhanawade.<br /><br />Batting legend and cricket great Sachin Tendulkar also comes from the same Mumbai stable and his epic partnership of 664 runs with fellow Mumbaikar Vinod Kambli still manages to be the talk of the town.</div>
