“inappropriate” remarks to a female television presenter live on air after a Big Bash League cricket match.<br />

Gayle, who plays for the Melbourne Renegades in the T20 competition, was speaking to Channel 10 presenter Mel McLaughlin after he made a quickfire 41 runs of 15 balls in his team’s victory against Tasmania.<br />

“I wanted to come and have an interview with you as well, that’s the reason why I’m here… to see your eyes for the first time,” Gayle said. “Hopefully we win this game and we can have a drink after, don’t blush baby,” he added.<br />

McLaughlin, who appeared uncomfortable as a result of the 36-year-old Gayle’s remarks, said “I’m not blushing”, as she tried to continue with the interview.<br />

Cricketers such as former England captain Andrew Flintoff slammed Gayle for his act that was condemned by others as well on social media. </div>

Cape Town (South Africa): Ben Stokes has an endearingly simple approach to batting. It can bring brutal results.<br /><br />Explaining the tactics behind his 258 off 198 balls for the fastest double century by an England batsman in Tests on Sunday, and the second-fastest of all time, Stokes said: “See ball, hit ball, I guess. I just tried to hit as many boundaries as I could because it was too hot to run.”<br /><br />That simple.<br /><br />Late in Stokes’ ferocious innings, which dramatically changed the course of the second test against South Africa, captain Alastair Cook sent a message out to the middle to warn Stokes that he would declare when England got to 630, so the batsman should try and get to 300 if he could.<br /><br />The message Stokes sent back?<br /><br />“I said it doesn’t really matter because I’m trying to hit every ball for six from now on,” Stokes said. “I just tried to keep on going. I wasn’t really thinking of any landmarks or anything.”<br /><br />The uncomplicated approach allowed Stokes to dominate top-ranked South Africa at home in a way few players have done over the last couple of years.<br /><br />With the innings, Stokes clearly realized the potential that has been recognized in him and drawn comparisons to former England allrounder Andrew Flintoff and even the great Ian Botham. The 24-year-old Stokes has heard those comparisons being made, he said. He doesn’t think about it too much.<br /><br />“I’m not trying to emulate that or fill their boots and what they’ve achieved,” he said. “I’m just trying to do my own thing and will always concentrate on doing that.”<br /><br />Stokes’ thing appears to be trying to make as many runs as he can as quickly as possible, a luxury he said he has because of England’s deep batting lineup and the ability of the players around him to step up if he fails.<br /><br />Often, Stokes said, it doesn’t come off and he’s OK with that. He won’t always make double hundreds.<br /><br />“I normally say ‘crikey’ when I get to 30, to be honest,” he said.<br /><br />Amid all the records he set on the second day in Cape Town — the fastest test 250 among them — Stokes took far more delight in the simpler things. The best moment for him appeared to be the six — one of 11 he hit — that went over one of the stands and into the yard of the brewery next to Newlands stadium.<br /><br />“I think I tried that 10 or 12 times before I managed to do it,” he said.</div>

<br /><br />A 15-year-old batsman from Mumbai has broken 116-year-old record by scoring an unbelievable number of runs in an Under-16 inter-school cricket tournament organised by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA).<br /><br />Pranav Dhanawade, playing for Smt. K C Gandhi School, Kalyan, scored an unbeaten 652 runs from just 199 balls, with the help of 78 fours and 30 sixes, as he registered his name in the record books.<br /><br />Dhanawade made the staggering record against Kalyan’s Arya Gurukul School in the H T Bhandari Cup, one of the several inter-school tournaments organised  by the MCA.<br /><br />The prodigal talent helped his team reach 956 runs for the loss of just one wicket at the end of the first day. While Dhanawade was not out on 652, number three batsman Siddhesh Patil was unbeaten on 100. Aakash Singh, the only batsman to have been dismissed, had scored 173 runs.<br /><br />Dhanawade’s epic knock, which included 72 fours and 28 sixes, helped him take over the mantle of ‘highest individual score’ (including minor cricket) from AEJ Collins, who had held the record since 1899 when he struck an unbeaten 628 for Clark House against North Town House in UK.<br /><br />In the course of his multiple record-breaking feat, Pranav also surpassed Prithvi Shaw’s marathon 546 scored in 2014 in a Harris Shield match, an innings that had previously been the highest individual score in any form of cricket in India.<br /><br />The current bunch of young talent from Mumbai also includes the likes of Arman Jaffer and Sarfaraz Khan. While Sarfaraz had scored 439 in 2009, Jaffer posted 498 in 2010 to break the record, only to be surpassed by Shaw, who, in turn, has now been overtaken by Dhanawade.<br /><br />Batting legend and cricket great Sachin Tendulkar also comes from the same Mumbai stable and his epic partnership of 664 runs with fellow Mumbaikar Vinod Kambli still manages to be the talk of the town.</div>

Durban (South Africa): England moved swiftly to a big win over the top-ranked team in test cricket on Wednesday, sweeping aside South Africa’s last six batsmen in a 241-run victory in the first test.<br />
<br />
Spinner Moeen Ali trapped AB de Villiers lbw for 37 in the first over of the last day, and England accounted for South Africa’s struggling batting lineup for 174 in its second innings. England took six wickets for only 38 runs in 24 overs on the fifth day to be completely dominant at the end at Kingsmead.<br />
<br />
Chasing a first series win over South Africa in more than a decade, England took a morale-boosting lead in the four-match series, with the second test in Cape Town to follow on Saturday.<br />
<br />
“Pretty good test match,” England captain Alastair Cook said. “The lads played pretty well to be honest with you … a pretty pleasing five days.”<br />
<br />
England set the Proteas an almost unreachable target of 416 to win, or four-and-a-half sessions to survive for a draw. South Africa never came close.<br />
<br />
“Not a good Christmas, that’s for sure,” South Africa coach Russell Domingo said. “We didn’t play half as well as we can.”<br />
<br />
Quick bowler Steven Finn finished with 4-42 and Ali 3-47 in the second innings to complete England’s dominance in Durban. Ali had seven wickets in the match.<br />
<br />
England’s batting was also far superior, making 303 and 326 compared to South Africa’s two poor totals of 214 and 174. England’s significant victory was only its second win in its last 16 tests away from home, and places it perfectly for a strong showing in the second match of a four-test series in just three days.<br />
<br />
“Let’s not get too carried away, but it would be great if we could get our noses ahead in that game and continue to put pressure on South Africa,” Cook said.<br />
<br />
The speed with which England dispensed with the Proteas on Wednesday morning was astonishing, and underlined the doubts hanging over the world’s No. 1 team, which has struggled through most of 2015 and will lose its top ranking if it loses this series.<br />
<br />
England’s big win in Durban had repercussions beyond just this match, with South Africa likely to lose top fast bowler Dale Steyn to injury for the Cape Town test and the makeup of the rest of the team generally unwell. De Villiers, South Africa’s best player, said this week that he is struggling with fatigue, the Proteas’ batsmen are badly out of form and were exposed again by England, and there are murmurs of unrest in the squad because of selection policies.<br />
<br />
South Africa captain Hashim Amla hinted Steyn would likely miss out in Cape Town because of his right shoulder problem, but said any other possible changes to the misfiring lineup he would “leave to the selectors.”<br />
<br />
England had been ahead for most of the game after making 303 in its first innings and bowling South Africa out for 214, but the tourists stamped a big early mark on the series in a ruthless spell on Wednesday morning.<br />
<br />
Under bright blue skies, and with no possibility of rain saving South Africa, Ali got one to straighten to De Villiers with the third ball of the day. De Villiers tried and failed with a TV referral, and after that early boost, England went on to roll out three batsmen for two runs at the start of the fifth day. Counting Faf du Plessis’ dismissal late on Tuesday, the England bowlers went on a rampant run to take seven South African wickets in the space of 38 runs.<br />

Ali had Temba Bavuma stumped by Jonny Bairstow for a duck and Finn bowled Steyn, smashing a full-pitched ball into his stumps. Stuart Broad removed Morne Morkel lbw for 8 to end the game, sealing England’s first win in the opening test of an away series against a major test team since it won the first match of the 2004-05 series in South Africa. England went on to win that series.<br />

“It’s always nice to start well,” Cook said.<br />

Melbourne: Australia’s top-order batsmen once again gave them a strong start in the second Test against West Indies. Opener Joe Burns (128) and No. 3 batsman Usman Khawaja (144) scored centuries and took the hosts to 345 for 3 on Day 1 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.<br />
<br />
The twin centuries did not only put Australia in a dominating position in the Test, it also took Team Australia to an unprecedented milestone.<br />
<br />
Burns and Khawaja reached their hundreds two balls apart, in the 58th over bowled by Jomel Warrican. Though Burns reached his century (second in Tests) first with a three off the very first delivery of the over, it was Khawaja who went down into the history books as he got the honour of hitting the 1000th century (all formats) for Australia two balls later.<br />
<br />
It took Australia 1,725 matches, 21,460 innings and 489 players to reach the milestone in a span of 138 years – 1877 to 2015. Two more Australian batsmen — Steve Smith and Adam Voges — hit centuries on Sunday to take Australia’s tally to 10,002<br />
<br />
England, the other half of cricket’s oldest rivalry and Australia’s Ashes competitors, are on second having scored 964 centuries so far from 1,704 matches and 23,153 innings. A total of 715 Englishmen have scored these centuries in the same span.<br />
<br />
India are third on the list with 688 tons, scored by 339 players starting from 1932. Indians have played 16,426 innings of 1,443 matches to hit these centuries. West Indies (629), Pakistan (543), South Africa (501) complete the list with 500 or more hundreds. Sri Lanka (393), New Zealand (377) and Zimbabwe (107) are the teams to have number of tons in three figures. Bangladesh are in the tenth position with 77 hundreds.<br />

With that de Villiers owned the records for fastest fifty, hundred and 150 in ODI cricket – all against West Indies.<br />

West Indies, on the other hand, couldn’t even score as much as de Villiers did, getting out for 151 for the joint-worst defeat in World Cups.<br />

Luke Ronchi smashed a brilliant 170 not out and along with Grant Elliott put on a world record 267-run partnership to help New Zealand recover from 93-5 before thumping Sri Lanka by 108 runs. It was Ronchi’s maiden ODI century, while Elliott was unbeaten on 104 in the sixth wicket stand of 267, which surpassed the 218 that Mahela Jaywardene and Mahendra Singh Dhoni scored for the Asian XI against an African XI in 2007. Ronchi clobbered 170 from just 99 balls, destroying anything pitched up and never failing to send the short balls over the leg-side boundary. He completed his maiden ton in 74 balls. The next 70 runs came from 25 balls.<br />

David Warner had smashed 178 from 133 balls to get the highest score by an Australian at a World Cup and the fifth highest in the tournament’s history against his name. He surpassed the previous Australian record of 158 set by Matthew Hayden against West Indies in 2007. It is also the third highest score by an Australian in ODI cricket — Shane Watson’s 185 not out against Bangladesh in 2011 and Hayden’s 181 against New Zealand in 2007 are ahead of him. Warner’s innings included 19 fours and five sixes. Warner combined for a 260-run stand with Steve Smith, which was also a Australian ODI record for any wicket. Warner had a good chance to go past 200-run mark as he was dismissed in the 38th over of the innings.<br />

Gayle does everything in his own style and he didn’t miss the mark here as well. He not only joined the 200-club, he did it by hitting the fastest ODI double-hundred. It also came as a relief for the flamboyant Caribbean. Before this double-ton, Gayle was without an ODI century for 19 months. Interestingly, it came exactly five years after first-ever ODI double-century hit by Sachin Tendulkar. Gayle finished on 215 from 147 balls. He hit 10 fours and sent 16 sixes flying over the boundary. At the other end, an unnoticed Marlon Samuels also cruised to his highest ODI score of 133 not out and played second fiddle in a partnership of 372 – highest for any wicket in ODIs.<br />

Martin Guptill hit unbeaten 237 for the highest World Cup score of all time and the second-highest in all ODIs. But most importantly it took New Zealand to the semi-finals for the seventh time. Though no one had expected it coming from Guptill, no one will ever forget the innings. Nor will Marlon Samuels. who grassed Guptill at square leg in the first over of the match.<br />

नेपाल साफ च्याम्पियनसिप फुटबलको समूह चरणबाटै बाहिरिएको छ। केरेलास्थित त्रिवेन्द्रम रंगशालामा आइतबार साँझ भएको खेलमा आयोजक राष्ट्र भारतसँग ४–१ गोल अन्तरले पराजित हुँदै नेपाल समूह चरणबाटै बाहिरिएको हो। योसँगै सेमिफाइनल समिकरण पूरा भएको छ।  नेपाल रहेको समूह ए बाट आयोजक राष्ट्र भारतसँगै श्रीलंका सेमिफाइनल प्रवेश गरेका छन् ।<br />
